CHICAGO –All lanes have reopened on the outbound Kennedy after they were closed for several hours due to a shooting.
According to Illinois State Police, the shooting happened around 5:10 a.m. on Monday on the outbound Kennedy at Sayre.
The male victim was not injured.
He drove to the intersection of Higgins and River Roads in Rosemont before calling police. There are two bullet holes on the driver’s side of the white Toyota Camry.
There also appears to be damage to the front hood of the vehicle.
Police shut down a portion of the outbound Kennedy after the shooting to search for shell casings.
All lanes are back open.
Police say they are looking for a blue Chevrolet Trailblazer that they believe was involved in the incident.
An investigation is ongoing.
