CHICAGO — Chicago police now say that two children and four adults were found dead in a Gage Park home Thursday.
Initially, police reported that only one child was among the dead.
While the names of the victims have not been released, police say the children are young men, ages 10 and 13. The adults are identified as two men and two women.
Chief of Detectives Eugene Roy provided this new information at a news conference Friday morning, adding that all the victims are members of the same family.
Roy said all the victims sustained blunt trauma, and police are treating the case as a homicide.
He also said the house was locked when police arrived and there were no signs of forced entry. The victims were not bound, and the house was not ransacked.
