CHICAGO — An early morning fire caused damage to four buildings, hurt two firefighters and displaced 11 people in the city’s Grand Crossing neighborhood.
The fire started around 1 a.m. Monday at a vacant building in the 7600 block of South Drexel Avenue and spread to three other buildings.
The homes were fully engulfed in flames.
Two firefighters suffered minor injuries and are in stable condition.
Eleven people, including four children, were displaced as a result of the fire.
The fire was extinguished around 3 a.m.
